RE: white speed boats and baby lobsters... - Westenders - 04-09-2018 The boats must be new as they weren’t there at the beginning of the year. It will be Nexus who are offering this if anything, who belong to the same group as Royalton . But I’m not going to buy into the jet ski comparison as that was totally different imo, reckless owners and tourists, high pressure sales, and riders coming close to the shore , uninsured equipment and not an organised , safety aware offer. If they are nexus activities then all of the above would not apply, and none of us can attest to the safety procedures they are instructed of as part of the activity. Just the same as the new water activities offered over at pimentoz. We have not heard of any descriptions like that ... but these sorts of tours are offered all over the Caribbean without the same ownership of the water that some feel. I have driven one myself in Cancun with my teenage daughter as part of an organised activity. I didn’t like it myself but accept others will. Negril is a business and I think we forget that. We spend many days in the hills and in the sea off track where none of this stuff happens. Negril is not the place for quiet, unspoilt , natural experiences RE: white speed boats and baby lobsters... - Passion4Diving - 04-15-2018 Discussed this with the watersports manager at Hedo. He said that the lead boat and the trailing boat are Royalton staff and are the guides for those the guests driving the interior boats. Arrived yesterday and so far, have not seen them in action. Will visit the Royalton in the coming days. |
