Tomato Juice question - kylake - 03-22-2014 Last year we never could find a place to buy Tomato Juice, V-8, or Bloody Mary mix. We looked in both the MoBay Mega Mart and the Negril Hi-Lo. Does anyone know of a good place to find what is needed to make a Bloody Mary. We are not saying near any bar so, we need to be more self sufficient. RE: Tomato Juice question - jillybean - 03-22-2014 Hey Kylake, I was able to find tomato juice at Shamrock on my last reach. Bottom shelf on the left past the coolers, canned. I thought it was better than what we get in the states. RE: Tomato Juice question - jitterbug - 03-22-2014 i also second shamrock . . . actually, it's a really well stocked store! RE: Tomato Juice question - rastagirl777 - 03-22-2014 I've seen it in cans at Wise Choice I believe but not that often....I see Clamato juice available more. RE: Tomato Juice question - kylake - 03-22-2014 Thanks, as a admitted Negril Newbie where are Shamrock and Wise Choice located exactly? I assume somewhere near the round about. RE: Tomato Juice question - daniel - 03-22-2014 look in any store, look with canned tomatoes, look at the small cans. RE: Tomato Juice question - kylake - 03-23-2014 Thanks Daniel, that may have been part of our problem. I think we were always looking for a larger container (like V-8 quart size) instead of something of a smaller size. I do have a funny story though. We were walking the beach mid morning and Beth wanted a bloody mary. We stopped at a bar and the tender said the tomato juice had spoiled but no problem, she could make a bloody mary. I watched as she used ketchup instead of tomato juice............I thought well maybe she knows some trick to make this actually like a bloody mary, so I paid for the drink and handed to Beth. WRONG, Beth took a sip and said taste and said what you think. I tasted it and we moved to a table outside, sat the drink on the table and walked way. Lesson learned.........we still laugh about that from time to time. |
