Friday music 6/6/2014 - kylake - 06-06-2014

I was looking for something with Stanley Clarke (excellent bass player) and found this. It is an hour long but maybe some of you can listen to a couple. Somewhat jazzy so if you don’t like jazz you may not like it. Daniel you might like this, since you mentioned you liked jazz.

My stupid speakers - i really need a new computer
Hopefully Dread will have time to check this out if he can come out of his work bubble.
Stanley Clark is one of his favorites

I had the chance to meet and shmooze with Stanley Clark in the seventies at a wedding in LA - he was wearing a purple velvet jacket and a huge wide brimmed hat. It wasn't a very big wedding, it was pretty intimate - I was only seventeen but will never forget spending a day chatting, drinking and snacking poolside in the company of Stanley Clark. (He was on tour at the time with Return to Forever and we had just been to the concert)

Wow a whole year!

There was a woman - another and the first Rootswoman that I didnt know when I originally chose my name.

She posted over on Miyard for years and years. She religiously posted her Wednesday Funnies which were a list of jokes - they were good jokes . Many weeks no one would say a word but most came to rely on them being there. Although I never posted over there, I was sad when she eventually stopped. just a year or two ago.

Your Friday music reminds me so much of her funnies. I really appreciate the continuity and your perseverance. Most folks would have quit long ago.

Cheers to your first year Kylake!

RE: Friday music 6/6/2014 - kylake - 06-09-2014

Glad you guys liked the selection this week. I thought it was a good one for the one year mark.

RW and OT, you guys hold so much history about Negril and the peeps from back in the day. Hopefully someday we can meet up and I can pick your brain on the history.

Dread and RW, WOW getting to sit and chat with one of the alltime geat bass players must have been a real treat.
