Cousin's Cove - Firemon - 08-05-2015 HANOVER, Jamaica –  The police have confirmed that a man was shot dead in Hanover early this morning, while a US woman was sexually assaulted by the attackers. OBSERVER ONLINE has learnt that the two were at a bar some time after 12:00 am in Cousin’s Cove, Hanover when armed men entered and robbed the establishment and its patrons. It is said that upon leaving, one of the assailants opened fire, hitting the man. They proceeded to abduct a female patron who they allegedly sexually assaulted before later releasing her. The gunshot victim was taken to the hospital where he was subsequently pronounced dead. http://www.jamaicaobserver.com/news/Robbers-kill-man-at-bar--sexually-assault-woman Set away fro the main tourist areas, Cousin's Cove is a small inlet on the Hanover coast. The cove is well liked amongst locals, but not so well known to tourists. Those who do find it enjoy the seclusion of the breathtaking locale. Situated toward the western outskirts of Hanover Parish, 1.3 miles north of Green Island, Cousin's Cove is on the West coast of Jamaica. You might think about stopping by even if you aren't staying nearby. Cousin's Cove stands out because it's perfect for escaping the typical tourist haunts. How sad, such a young life. God bless him. What I can't understand is with this incident and also the shooting last week in Negril, is if you really must rob someone, why kill them after? It is all so senseless. And the assault on the woman is sickening.  I hope she gets all the help she needs.
