Here's a DIY method (aluminum foil and duct tape) to protect the radio frequency chips in your credit cards from scanner theft.  This is apparently a thing now so take precaution.

Good thread Firemon.  

Ive been reading a lot about compromised credit cards.  

Dread has one of the hard plastic types similar to that six pack available at Walmart. I am going to send him the link to the one you ordered.  It looks practical.  

My brother, in Maine, has been carrying a duck tape wallet for the past 40 years. Under the duck tape is a wallet he couldn't bare to part with so he just kept repairing it.   All he has to do is add tin foil and he is all set for 2016.

Firemon, if you have not signed up for smile on amazon do so they will make a donation to charity every time you order from a smile vendor. Maybe you already knew this but just pointing out if you did not.
The one you have linked from Amazon doesn't look to handy to get into from how it is made. Maybe I am wrong, let me know how it works out for you.

I'm going to use a two-wallet system.  The out-of-sight belt loop wallet with credit card and large cash denominations tucked away; along with a thin dummy wallet in my pants pocket with small denominations for casual purchases.

(I support Doctors Without Borders with every Amazon purchase.)

The dummy wallet is a good idea - its always good to have something waterproof to hold cash in as well.

We haven't been down in awhile - im remembering things we mentioned we should have brought last time - 

Do they still make those plastic waterproof containers you could wear around your neck?  Or do they make anything better?
