Lobsters..Maine vs Canadian - oldtimer - 09-10-2016 Once again there is the debate which is better . Well as it stands now ( as of yesterday ) the part of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island that are fishing lobsters are receiving $5.50CDN/lb at the wharf . There are fishermen from Maine buying these lobsters and selling them in Maine at the wharf as if they were caught there and receiving $11.00US/lb . Once again I say " where do the Maine lobsters come from " not all but lots come from us stupid Canucks . RE: Lobsters..Maine vs Canadian - rastagirl777 - 09-10-2016 Same type of lobster, no? I refer to them as "New England Lobsters". The lobsters we used to get at the docks I do believe were fished from the waters near New York. I had a friend who was a lobster fisherman in Rhode Island many years ago - shipped 50lbs from there to the San Francisco Bay Area for a huge lobster party. I think back then we paid $2.50/lb. RE: Lobsters..Maine vs Canadian - Firemon - 09-10-2016 About time one of the Canadian fishermen hauls their catch to the land down under for a more profitable return. Eh? RE: Lobsters..Maine vs Canadian - oldtimer - 09-10-2016 Owner/operators can't get export permits to take their catches across the border. RE: Lobsters..Maine vs Canadian - Firemon - 09-10-2016 Joint Venture with a Yankee might work. Speaking of joints.... |
