Article on 2 projects ordered to stop (for now). One at one of the 2 Negril Riu (Riu Tropical Bay, I think, officially), the other in Lucea.
I always wonder how things actually work, assuming someone gets paid off somewhere. Recall the accident when the Royalton was being built?
I saw tons of cars by Riu/SSATP but assumed it was some large beach party or similar.
The other one in Lucea, building right next to the authority (Hanover Municipal Corporation) reminds me of the time a Sheriff pulled me over. I was on the interstate and barely went over the speed limit, but passed him because he was going so slow. I thought they didn't have jurisdiction there. He said they normally don't care on the interstate, but I couldn't "make him look bad". Let me off with a warning. lesson learned.

Thanks for posting JonTom. I suspect/assume it will be just like the Royalton and after palms are greased construction will start again.

I’m looking at this a little more positively.
After the corruption of process at Royalton there was an investigation of officers in Lucea as I recall.
So maybe they are starting to act professionally and enforce health and safety regulations now.
Which is a good thing imo and hopefully a sign of change
