It's Jamaica ...remember . I've been to concerts in the past and waited until 4:00AM to have no shows . I never buy tickets in advance for that exact reason .

Woodstock has booked Alaine and Terry Linen for Valentine's Day.
Would love to see that show. That actually beats having Beres for a third year in-a-row.

At least we didn’t get them in advance, bet getting a refund would have been fun.

So dumb question- At what point do you buy them? Do you wait until they hit the stage (not that you could see it).
I guess my point is you could wait until 15 minutes until they are scheduled to start but that doesn't mean they will show.

I've yet to experience a no-show in over 15 years of attending as many concerts as my vacation allowed. Don't think it's the problem it was in the past. Besides, like Tim said, what are you going to do wait outside the gate waiting for the headliner to take the stage before pulling out your wallet? Do that and you'll miss out being part of the scene listening to the warm up bands and grooving with the people.
Been saving a lot of money purchasing pre-sale tickets on the day of the show from the promoters walking the beach.

I mean I don't buy days in advance . Sort of in the evening of the show . Twice I paid to see Luciano and no show . One of those was at Seastar about 5 years ago .

Obviously it happens, I haven't gone to enough to say how often. The only time we got burned was when be bought in advance for The Mighty Diamonds, and they never showed - although I wasn't at all familiar with them anyways.
But we have gone to quite a few shows, mostly at Bourbon Beach and Negril Escape, and the headliner has always showed.
