Double trouble ot - West end lover - 03-22-2019 What’s your view on Costco in the states selling 3lb lobster claws.Thats right, a single lobster claw of 3 lbs! I’m from New England and find it appalling. If you are a lobster that big you deserve to live your life out in the sea. I know Canada harvests smaller and larger than Maine does and I’m ok with it. It’s your country, do what’s best for your country. Beautiful state. RE: Double trouble ot - oldtimer - 03-24-2019 That's terrible . Well it is probably off a lobster to big to sell as a whole so they sell bits and pieces to get some cash back . They sell that size to resturants to break up into salads . Here ,as in Nova Scotia there is a size they call windows that are about that size and they are to be put back into the sea . They are the size and age that they are the biggest egg bearing size ,that is the females . The lobster business is crooked . Like I said before Nova Scotia lobsters are sold in the US as Maine lobsters . They are sometimes/alot of the time sent back to Canada and then shipped to China as Canadian lobsters because the China wouldn't by US lobsters . Some of these lobsters get lots of air miles .
