Sorry about the lobster wars but that is the only thing happening in my life . I'm sorry that you got laid off but these guys are fighting a war for their lively hood . None of this job talk whether yours or ours is very good but that's all we got .

RE: Tim - Tim - 11-25-2020

It sucks losing a job/career, but these days it's a lot less common for someone to have a single job/employer their whole working life.
If things went as I had hoped/expected, I would still be working at the Weyerhaeuser pulp mill where I live, would be approaching 25 years and counting down the days to retirement.
At 40 years old I went back to school, and received my Red Seal Journeyman when I was 46.
Now at 53 I'm taking another course and hope to get into building maintenance, either at a hospital or school board.
When one door closes, another one opens.
I am thankful my Mom forced me into starting an RSP when I was 21 and always did regular contributions until a couple years ago, and my union pension has great returns. I will never be rich, but I just need to "idle along" till I'm 59, then it's retirement.
