know how the newspapers suggest not to give out or publish private information such as SSN or phone

or your address and when you will be on vacation (combined) ?

When your email address is posted someplace, robotic software may find it and bingo, junk mail starts arriving.
That was why I hinted that ABC@XZY.net should not look like an email address; ABC -at- XYZ dot NET is better.

ALso I mentioned that this message board is saved in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and any invasion plans of Mars can be found with a search engine, so treat your postings as if they were on facebooky.

(I got rid of the post as soon as I read Get rid of the post., without noticing much else, except the "crawler" software which I meant to refer to robotic software that visits web pages while you sleep.)
