<P>Thanks Liz! Our "plan", loose as it is was to continue our trip that was interupted and go to the Blue Mountains but I'd really like to spend a few days in TB next winter. Looks so lovely, and I'd only ever been there for a day previously.

<P>ohliz, a few questions if you don't mind.... You mentioned that you rented a scooter while in TB. Are they readily available there? I realize the beaches in the area aren't white like Negril but are there nice ones to just lounge around and relax? Is the water generally clear like Negril or is there more of a surf coming in? I have only spent part of a day there during a tour several years ago so don't have a clear picture of what TB consists of. How does it compare to the Port Antonio area? My wife and I hope to return to Jamaica in December but are contemplating going someplace other than Negril, for all or part of our trip, depending on how long we can get away for. We have never been to PA but have concerns of the complications of getting there from MoBay. To rent a car or not rent a car, that is the question...

<P>Tim...TB is a LOVELY area . The beaches are darker than Negril BUT !!! the sand is the same. The roarin' around is alot less and renting a bike (probably in Santa Cruz ) is alot of fun. Driving through the Santa Cruz Mts is just so beauitiful.There is not the constant begging that there is in Negril. There is also a desert there that is very interesting. It's a place of making your own fun which is not hard to do when you are not thinking about being robbed all the time. It's WAY !!! different than PA. It's an agricultural area . I owned land there for about 40 years . If you like fishing your in the right area. lots of guys will be more than happy to take you out on a small charter.
