trip report,kinda - mud - 05-20-2013
<P>found this in my documents I had when I went to pittsburg with my friend who needs a new kidney(im his support person),and I thought you might like it.i didn't put the first part on cause it has all kinds of medical stuff that im sure you would not find interesting.so here goes. the trip home.this was the FUN part.first off we had to get a cab.we checked in at the travel department.they called the cab while we waited in the waiting room took about a half hour.another married couple rode with us this time to the airport.he was down for an evaluation also,they were a couple years younger than us,looked a lot older though) the cab driver had some music on the tape that was for the younger generation.when we got out of the lot the driver put on some better music which we had to laugh at.i guess we do look old cause he said you guys probably like this music better,{tommie dorsie}.so i turned my hearing aids off and let donnie listen to it. got to the airport,and had all kinds of time left(3 hours).so we stoped to have a drink (a big margereta).tasted pretty good to.after the drink we went down the moving belt to our gate.when we got there we saw they hadnt even turned the lights on so we got back on the belt and went back up to where we had the drink.on the way up i saw the biggest most beautiful glass of beer at another bar.so at the end of the belt,we walked back to that bar and ordered two.now i dont do well when i mix booze and beer.so at the end of the first beer,i felt like i could handle another one.if i did get drunk,id have a 3 hour flight to sober up.well i got drunk.not bad drunk,but a kinda giddy drunk where im a lot of fun to be with.donnie and i had the ppl, at the bar laughing there ass off.so i think it was worth it to have stoped there and put a smile on everones face.met 6 guys from florida who were there for a meeting and who also there for a long plane wait.so they got drunk with us and between the 8 of us,we had a blast.i had that joke about the hair removing gel with me for just this kind of situation.i told donnie to watch there faces while they read the joke.so i gave the joke to the guy that seemed to be there leader.he read it and you could see a dimple slowly developing on his face,then it developed into a grin,then a smile,then a chuckle then a laugh,then when he read the last page he was almost falling on the floor laughing his ass off.(he gave me his email addy.and told me to email it to him)i think i found a new friend,lol.when we finished our 2nd beer we kinda wadeled down to our gate and got on the plane after putting a mint in my mouth so no one could smell the beer on my breath.we took off,i went to sleep,and all was good when we landed in mpls.at about 800pm.THATS IT
