I know this is a Jamaican oriented site but there seems to be a good variety of travelers here.
My wife and I have been thinking Cuba for a place we have yet to go and now we have a reason. One of my cousins is getting married near Holguin in November and we were humming and hawing about attending. Well yesterday we found out she is actually marrying a fellow from Cuba, and that is why the wedding is taking place there. So that was the key selling point. We wanted to go before Cuba becomes ¨¨americanized¨¨, sorry to you US citizens, and now have a great reason to go. I think its going to be a hell of a party having the grooms family hosting everyone the night before the wedding.
Anyone care to suggest not to miss things in that area. I hope to do some deep sea fishing and perhaps diving if there are reputable shops to go with. I have heard read mostly negative reviews about the food there, and its a good idea to bring a few spices along.
We can only go for a week with my wifes teaching job restricting her time off but the flights work out pretty good that we will have a full 7 days and nights to check it out.
I must apoligize for the poor punctuatons is this post but my keyboard is wacked. When I try to enter a question mark I get É, and so on.
