Thanks Liz for posting about 3 Dives. We have only eaten there a couple of times but enjoyed it both times.

My favorite
So I took a little flashback back to 2006 because I wanted to refer to this post I was SURE that I wrote...but either it got lost in trip report-land or I never wrote it. It's in two parts and here is part one. A little road trip we took from Negril to the cockpits and such. http://travelsinjamaica.com/2017/07/adventure-in-the-southern-cockpits-and-alligator-pond.html

TY, Ohliz, for another report and the flashback. The hills and the 'British colonial style' place reminds me of similar place near Mandeville described in a book I read recently (except the owner was murdered there).
I expected Jamaican Cave Org. to have a report on Gourie Cave, and they do, but actually later than your visit surprisingly (they describe why in the report but note it was mapped at least as early as 1972). Here's a link if you/anyone wish to read what you missed by not going in - kidding, in that I think one needs proper equipment and training for such things. http://www.jamaicancaves.org/gourie_070216.htm
Thanks you Raine for looking in and your nice word!
And JonTom thanks for the same and for the link. NO WAY we were going in there, no sirree I did write part two today: http://travelsinjamaica.com/2017/07/adventure-in-the-southern-cockpits-and-alligator-pond-2006-flashback-part-two.html ..and will resume this year's report as i soon as I can.

OMG JonTom, I get claustrophobic just looking at the photos of those guys in the narrow parts.
This is the stuff of nightmares for me: Not sure it's worth it even to get to cool stuff like this: |
