I make a sauce like that for shrimp (no need to deep fry or add cock soup - i just saute seasoned shrimp - the sauce is rich enough) I learned about cooking the curry powder when I was in cooking school - it makes a huge difference in flavor but you don't really want to "burn" it lol
OT - I bet it would be great over cooked lobster as well.
