I entered and ran the "worlds greatest 10K race" in San Juan about 5 years ago. I believe there were close to 15,000 entrants.
Looks like a lot of people in the Reggae marathon were there more for the experience than to compete with themselves or others ( and that is totally cool). I have ran in probably 20 half marathons in my life, my wife the same plus she did 2 full marathons. Kudos to all in Negril, the heat (and hills) are two factors that make any run a lot tougher. The hardest run I ever did was in Fussen, Germany. It was hot as hell, and the hilliest 1/2 I ever entered.
I would love to enter the Reggae, but my wife's work schedule just doesn't allow us to travel that time of year.
