As I mentioned before 12 boats backed up the river to get away from the storm surge . So about 2:00am a few went down to see if everything was alright .One of the boats was dragging it's anchor so one of the young guys stripped down to his shorts and swam out to the boat to reset the anchor for the FISHERMAN WHO WASN'T THERE !!! When he got to the boat he found the doors to the cabin LOCKED !!!! and couldn't get in to start the boat and set the anchor . WHY WHY WHY WHY would anyone in their right mind lock the door to a boat anchored in the river during a hurricaine .This is EXACTLY why you don't lock boats in time of peril. Apparently he got very little sympathy this morning when they were waiting for the rising tide to take them back home .The sea is rough but sailable . It didn't happen but it could have easily been a bunch of boats in a pile and a lot of damage done . He is not invited to do this again by the guys there .The young guy came very close to smashing out a window but changed his mind when the boat went into a turning around thing and ran her self on the edge of the channel .
