Once a bought a loaf of bread and came out of the market with it in hand. The charter driver said go back in an make her put it in a bag as you don't want anyone to know your business. I thought really over a loaf of bread?? but did as he suggested.
Now for a culture that seems to base itself on you don't want people to know you business they sure seem to ask a lot of question trying to find out what your business is, where are you from, where are you staying, is this your first visit, etc, etc.
What is the polite way to answer without sounding too harsh or putting them off. I basically try to be aloof and never give a direct answer.
