In my quest for subject lines which were accurate yet titulating, I picked this one. Humor; where is Gramacy to parse my sentences for excessive wordyness? LOL
I think it is "time" for me to go, hence the eulogy (tribute to a dead person? Look it up.)
There are so few who visit. I remember when negril.com was oh so popular and it was US who made it that way via contributions; it was like a family gathering and, like Cheers (TV), nice to socialize. Under my name there, it was nice on both our parts when I personally met two "boardies" by accident at MBJ and our board postings preceeded us.
Things change over the years. Now people are consummed by Tweeter and Facebook and posting biased comments on news stories. I miss getting and sending emails. Remember when written letters via the post office was so great? Now it's "instant" everything we seek.
This is not a forum for things to get people to think. For example, my belief that countries with lots of poor people are not quick to get/give inocculations because dieing rids the country of the poor, non tax-paying. And the biggie no one accepts, that governments are self service, like some guy who has a carnival game which isn't so honest. Every country says "stay out of my business", except when they want aid. Brazil lets the rain forests burn, corvid run amouck, lets the people fend for themselves, and keeps the $$ from the sale of natural resources for those in power.
We have our opinions. I'd want to fix the bad things in Jamaica, but I'm just one person. One who accepts that maybe the full picture is not known / seen. Of course, everywhere there are people as dumb as a fence post you can't convince of anything.
Just recently I was thinking about dieing. What gets left behind? Create two images, both starting with a pile of wood, nails, hammer and a saw. The 2nd panel in one shows something built with the materials. Yet, with a different type of person, panel 2 is a pile of broken boards and boards nailed together in a hap hazzard way. This really bad example is that some people create, some destroy. Both activities take time. It's boring to be idle.
Then examples get worse; destroying what someone else built, or knocking over gravestones or damaging a public park. That was a recent Pennsylvania story.
We can make this a better world. But there will always be people who say "Why should I?"
