A month ago came an email which said JA is allowing pot from Canada to be sold on the island.
In a "protect local industry" outcry, someone started a petition.

30 days has gotten 30 more signers, now at 2152, and it says 2500 might be enough to gain some press coverage. (The site tries to get $$ from signers, but that is optional.) I offer no suggestions about anything.
Tangent; When Canada approved selling their own product, there was a shortage and I suggested Canada allow imports cause it made sense. There was no action taken, even though logically Canada was missing out on the tax revenue until supply met demand.
Tangent #2; big $$ is involved to get licensed and small farmers were at a disadvantage.
Tangent #3; if U bake brownies, double the cooking time.
